K9 Trekkers is a CPR certified professional dog walking service located in Shawnigan Lake, BC. We offer outdoor doggy adventures for the surrounding Shawnigan Lake, Cobble Hill, Mill Bay and Cowichan Bay areas. We provide outdoor excursions for your dog on or off leash. Have your dog run, hike, play and swim in the beautiful mountains, trails and lakes of our island!
Dogs have a natural tendency to explore, play, socialize and enjoy mother nature, it's an opportunity for your pet to release it's energy and enjoy the stimulation the great outdoors provide. K9 Trekkers will strive in helping your pet to be exercised, happy and content upon it's return home!
Although K9 Trekkers is not a training facility, rules, boundaries and pack dynamics will be exercised throughout all outdoor adventures with positive encouragement and plenty of fun. Recalls, sits and stays are practiced during either on leash or off leash excursions and rewarded with yummy treats or a simple pat on the head for being a good dog!
For your piece of mind, all dogs joining K9 Trekkers are subject to a screening assessment to determine the level of obedience, energy, and social skills of each individual dog. Here at K9 Trekkers we do not believe in breed discrimination, therefore the outcome of the assessment will be based solely upon the character and behavior of your dog.
To ensure your dog's safety during these outdoor adventures, K9 Trekkers is certified through DogSafe Canine First Aid and equipped with a first aid kit during all excursions in case of an emergency. Each dog is also provided with a K9 Trekkers dog tag with our contact information should your pet stray.
